The Distance to Home

A young black man who could pass for white, living in 1930's rural Arkansas, sets outs to find the father he has never met. Although very successful for the times, and newly and happily married, dreams of his unknown father have begun to haunt him of late, and he realizes that he will never have peace, nor be really happy until he faces the man that he knows only from the whispered conversations of his grandparents as he grew up in their house and in their care. When Peter Frauzinou finally meets his father in New Orleans, the meeting proves to be a hurtful disappointment with a number of startling and unexpected revelations.
