Dear Lover - The Remix

Dear Lover - The Remix

Take a blender if you will and drop a pinch of Terry Mc Millan and one handful of Sister Souljah and a cup of Donald Goines with a sprinkle of Maya Angelou then you will have created the author and poet Yvonne Rainey. Her first, but not last, novel Dear Lover-The Remix is told by a twenty year old female named Danna while serving time at Women's Federal Correctional Prison in Phoenix Arizona. As her bunkie, also twenty years old by the name of Roxanne, positioned herself restlessly upon the top bunk after lights out, posed a serious question. "How did you and your boyfriend end up both serving time in a Federal Prison?" Dana was intoxicated by the music that oozed like honey faintly from the rigged speakers that executed the romantic sounds from the quiet storm on 101.9. It was enchanting music by artists like Levert, Isley Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Shirley Murdock, and Anita Baker. The music brought back vivid memories of home sweet home and made Danna reply by asking, "Where do you want me to start?"It was then, Danna took Roxanne on an imaginative roller coaster ride from day one of when she meet this coolly confident drug-dealer, by the name of Derrick, which Danna fell vulnerable to his charms. Danna then explained how her common sense took the backseat to her wild streak as she throws herself headlong into a relationship that could potentially destroy her. Danna also explains how she quickly became entrenched in a dark lifestyle that involved drug use, gang-bangers, abusive relationship and potential murder. Danna tells how she began to lose sight of a promise to a bright future that she thought lied ideally ahead. However, through the dark gloomy path Danna walked so boldly as a teenager upon, unknowingly possessed deep down in the bowels of her soul some real moral and a spiritual truths that may have saved Danna from total self destruction.Author Yvonne Rainey does a fine job of evoking life on the mean streets of Las Vegas, far from the glittering lights of the opulent casinos. Dear Lover is a hip contemporary novel that is rich in natural dialogue and harrowing suspense. Experience Dear Lover. Just turn your bathroom into your sole living quarter for one day. Lock the door from the outside and cut off the light, then maybe you'll feel some of what's being said. Dear Lover is a written description of all who breathe, eat, sleep, work or play. Dear Lover could be about any of us. No one is exempted from being caught up.

About the Author
I am a published author and the founder of Beginning II End Publishing and X-Wear Clothing Line. Books saved my life and that's why I've dedicated the rest of my life to publishing books. I found liberation of the mind, body and soul through the reading of books and not the books "THEY" gave me in school to read, but in the books my spirit led me to read and most of those books live outside the mainstream population. You have to dig deeper then what the eye can see and that's where most treasures are found. Anyone interested in making Heaven on Earth? Is my philosophy. May sound radical but who cares, if we can MASTER our Knowledge in creating war from the hood to the white house across the globe, nuclear bombs, space shuttles, I know we can master creating weapons of mass peace, unity, love, & harmony. I know we can figure out poverty, hunger and disease. I believe we can achieve anything we put our minds too! (Don't you know inside your mind lies the (gold) (God's) mind?) I've communicated and written on many social platforms, news letters, magazine articles and books because I rather face an angry world of uncivilized, hateful mis-educated, and un-educated people and beg for peace and harmony, than to stand in judgment before an angry God. Do you know what an angry God looks like? An angry God looks like Hurricane Katrina, earthquakes, famines, and droughts. Their isn't a killer dead or alive that can out do God in the time of His wrath. So we as humans better take heed and start acknowledging the HIGHER POWER that has created you and me! We must start respecting God's Property! Who is God's property? Everything that has life and breath. That mother, that sister, brother, that skin head, that KKK, that dirty cop, that crooked politician, that child molester, that African, that Christian, that gay or lesbian, that Jew, that drug dealer, all the way down to the snakes that slither on his belly belongs to God. All these prototypes are figments of God's imagination, God's Creations, Everything WE LOVE TO HATE! I remember a time when I use to hate snakes (in human form and reptile form) but I have learned how to respect them because they are not here by my permission they are here by God's Permission. So even if you hate one of God's creations you better learn how to respect it. My grandmother use to say, "Love it just enough to get to Heaven!" Always Remember if YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE IT!
