So here at Creative Soul Digest we want to motivate you to continue to press on and get to Friday by giving you JAMS to get down with. This week is no different except that we are pausing to honor mother’s and celebrate the women who are the true pioneers of hip hop....really all music in general because without mom’s the artist we know and love wouldn’t exist. Facts! We will leave you a list of Mama celebration songs after of course.

I’ll be honest not sure I understand the ranking (also all mother’s of artist in the hip-hop game are fly but that’s just my opinin) but hey it’s their article. I did look up each mom and I gotta say I didn’t know how dope Deb Antney was. Sis created an entertainment company and was behind the success of Gucci Mane, French Montana, and her own son all while raising 8 kids. WOW! Serious props! Now the people that came to my mind when I read the title of this article were:

That’s just my list of what came to mind because of what these women have stood for and the force they are as mothers. We walk high so our kids can have someone to look up to and we stand firm in our convictions showing our kids how to always speak affirmations and truth. We may get weary we may be fighting our own inner battles but we show up day in and day out no matter the shape we are in. And... WE STAY FLY Y’ALL!!!
